Residential Services

Most of what a homeowner needs comes down to a tank that needs emptying or a line that has stopped running. Both are everyday work here, and both are answered by the same phone at any hour.

Start With What You Are Seeing

Most people do not call knowing whether they need a tank cleaned, a line jetted or a field treated. They call because something in the house is behaving oddly. These are the usual ones and what they normally turn out to be.

Every drain in the house is slow

One slow fixture is that fixture. Everything slow at once points further out, at the main line or at a tank that is due.

Gurgling when the washer empties

Air is not moving the way it should, which usually means a partial blockage downstream. Jetting puts the line back to full diameter.

Sewage smell in the yard

Often a tank at capacity, sometimes a lid or a joint that is not sealing. Worth looking at before it becomes the next one on this list.

Wet ground or bright green grass

Over the leach bed, that is the field taking on more than it can pass. Pumping buys a few weeks, so it is worth knowing early whether the tank or the field is at fault. A camera and a locate settle it.

The same drain blocks every few months

Something is causing it. A camera finds out whether it is roots, grease or a break, so the fix lasts longer than the last one.

Sewage coming back up indoors

Stop running water and call. That is an emergency callout and we are open at any hour.

While You Are Waiting

If a line is backing up and a truck is on its way, a few things help and cost you nothing.

  • Stop putting water into the system. No laundry, no dishwasher, no long showers. Every gallon you send down has to go somewhere, and right now it does not have anywhere to go.
  • Keep people and pets away from anything that has come up. Standing sewage is a health matter, not just a mess.
  • Do not open the tank yourself. The gases in a septic tank are dangerous and the lids are heavier than they look. Leave it for the crew.
  • Have a rough idea where the tank or cleanout is if you know it. If nobody does, that is fine, we can locate it.
  • Clear the route for a truck. Cars off the drive, gates unlocked, and tell us if the access is tight or soft underfoot.

What It Costs

We do not publish prices, because the same job is a different job on two different properties. What moves the number is the size of the tank or the length of line, how easily a truck can reach it, the condition of what we find, and whether anything is needed alongside the main job.

You will have a figure before work starts rather than after it, and estimates are free. If what you actually need is cheaper than what you called about, we will say so.

Not Sure Which You Need?

Describe what is happening and we will tell you what it takes to fix. A tank that is due, a line that keeps blocking and a field that has failed all look the same from inside the house, and they are three different jobs.

Often the honest answer is cheaper than the one you were expecting. A field that seems to be failing is frequently a tank nobody has cleaned in eight years.
